As a special highlight, TiK GmbH offers the company’s own, patented TiK-WIT® process. TiK-WIT is a combination gas-water injection method which allows the production of tubular parts without water inclusion, even with glass-fibre reinforced and fast-crystallizing compounds such as polyamide 6.6 GF 30. With our special TiK-WIT® process we help you put your part concept into practice for applications where simple water injection techniques are not feasible such as cooling water pipes, pedals, roof racks, structural components etc.

TiK-WIT® process description (see diagram)
- Melt injection (filling phase of the mould + short holding pressure phase)
- TiK-WIT® volume is purged and filled with air/gas (a)
- Secondary cavity opens (b)
- Injector opens and TiK-WIT® air/gas cushion is pressed into the melt by the water (b)
- Air/gas cushion creates a hollow cavity while water “pushes“ the air/gas cushion through the melt, keeping the air/gas pressurized (c)
- End of water injection phase (d)
- Water holding pressure phase (d)
- Compression of the TiK-WIT® cushion to ultimate volume (assists water evacuation ) (d)
- Water evacuation phase (e)
- Water evacuation can be supported with purge injector (e)
